前回のあらすじ
ハデス様の部下候補として、エリシュオンの住人である、ラダマンテュス・ミノス・アイアコスが冥府を訪れ、裁判見学をしていた。ある死者の発言がミノスの逆鱗に触れ、ミノスが死者につかみかかり、水鏡に拳を叩きつけてしまう。水鏡にひびが入り、割れた部分から水柱が立ち上がる。
今回の感想
今回も胸が震える展開です。神話の世界に萌えます。最近の展開は、グッときます！
表紙はゼウス様、姿は人間。珍しいなぁと思ったら、そう来たか。
前回割れてしまった水鏡。内心の動揺を隠せないハデス様。実はこれ、ただの水鏡ではない。古代の力で作られた、特別なもの。なおすのは無理。
そこで、ゼウス様の協力のもと、一つ目巨人たちが水鏡を新たに作ることになりました。が、物を作り続けてかつてのような力を失った彼ら。もし作れなかった場合は、ハデス様自身が死者のウソを見抜かなければならなくなる。永遠に。
最後のハデス様のほの暗い表情。うーん、ハデス様の負担増大ですね・・・。
ミノス、とんでもないことをしてくれたものです。死者の言葉に惑わされる裁判官なんてありえません。人間だったときは、豊かな国を治めたひとかどの人物だったのに、残念ですね。
でも、ギリシア神話からすると、今後、ミノスが裁判官の部下になるはずです。彼自身がどう変わっていくのかも見どころです。
今回のゼウス様は、かっこいいです。雷霆を手に、ガイアの泉に雷を落とすシーンには胸が震えました。やるときはやる、決めるときはきめる、ゼウス様にドキドキしました！まさに神様ワールド！幸村先生の描く、新たな神話の世界です。
ゼウス様は天空神であり、全宇宙や雲・雨・雪・雷などの気象を支配しています。そう思うと、お天気の変化の一つ一つがゼウス様のご機嫌の変化だと思えて面白いですね。
ハデス様の日除けもかわいらしいですね。一つ目巨人たちも愉快な見た目です。
次から次へと登場する新キャラクターたち。造形、大変だったのではないでしょうか。
本編の話の内容はシリアスですが、冥府の今後にとって重要なターニングポイントとなる新章。続きが気になってたまりません！！
私の予想では、前と同じ水鏡はできず、グレードダウンしたバージョンのものが仕上がるのではないかと思います。そして、それを使いつつ、今回迷惑をかけたミノスが不始末の詫びも兼ねて何らかの協力をしていくことになるのではないかな。
付録のハデス様も美しいです。
ギリシャ神話との関係
ゼウスは天空神として、全宇宙や雲・雨・雪・雷などの気象を支配していた。キュクロプスの作った雷霆（ケラウノス）を主な武器とする。その威力はオリュンポス最強と謳われるほど強大なもので、この雷霆をゼウスが使えば世界を一撃で熔解させ、全宇宙を焼き尽くすことができる。
キュクロプスは、天空神ウラノスと大地母神ガイアの息子たち。雷の精だったのではないかといわれる。彼らは父神に嫌われ、兄弟族のヘカトンケイル族とともに奈落タルタロスへ落とされた。クロノスが政権を握ったあとも、久しく拘禁されたままであった。しかし、ティタノマキアの時、ゼウスらによって解放される。キュクロプス達はその礼として、ゼウスには雷霆を、ポセイドンには三叉の銛を、ハデスには隠れ兜を造った。以後はヘーパイストスのもとで鍛冶業を続けた。

In the Theogony by Hesiod, the cyclopes – Brontes (Βρόντης, "thunderer"), Steropes (Στερόπης, "lightning") and Arges (Ἄργης, "brightness") – were the primordial sons of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth) and brothers of the Hekatonkheires and the Titans. As such, they were blood-related to the Titan and Olympian gods and goddesses. They were giants with a single eye in the middle of their forehead and a foul disposition. According to Hesiod, they were strong and stubborn. Collectively they eventually became synonyms for brute strength and power, and their name was invoked in connection with massive masonry or blacksmithery. They were often pictured at their forge.
Uranus, fearing their strength, locked them in Tartarus. Cronus, another son of Uranus and Gaia, later freed the cyclopes, along with the Hecatoncheires, after he had overthrown Uranus. Cronus then placed them back in Tartarus, where they remained, guarded by the female monster Campe, until freed by Zeus. They fashioned thunderbolts for Zeus to use as weapons, and helped him overthrow Cronus and the other Titans. The lightning bolts, which became Zeus' main weapons, were forged by all three cyclopes, in that Arges added brightness, Brontes added thunder, and Steropes added lightning.
These cyclopes also created Poseidon's trident, Artemis' bow and arrows of moonlight, Apollo's bow and arrows of sun rays, and Hades' helm of darkness that was given to Perseus on his quest to kill Medusa.
According to a hymn of Callimachus, they were Hephaestus' helpers at the forge. The cyclopes were said to have built the "cyclopean" fortifications at Tiryns and Mycenae in the Peloponnese. The noises proceeding from the heart of volcanoes were attributed to their operations.
